Who we are

Moddelix ("Moddelix," "we," or "us") operates the service described in this policy and is the party responsible for the personal data it collects.

What data we collect

We collect only the data needed to provide and support the product:

• Your name and email address, which you provide when you create an account or contact support.
• Payment information, which is collected and processed by Lemon Squeezy. Lemon Squeezy acts as the merchant of record for purchases and handles billing and tax. We do not store your full card details.
• The business inputs you enter during the intake, such as pricing, headcount, channels, and assumptions used to build your financial model.
• Your email address and subscription preferences, if you sign up for product updates or marketing emails, so we can send them and honor your choices.
• Basic technical data tied to your session, such as your IP address and browser type, recorded when you sign in.

Why we use your data

We use your data to:

• deliver the product: create your account, process your payment, generate your model, and provide support;
• keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and improve how the product works;
• meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations; and
• send you product updates or marketing emails, where you have opted in. You can opt out at any time, and doing so does not affect anything we sent before.

We do not sell your data

Moddelix does not sell your personal data to third parties, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.

Service providers we use

To run the service, we work with a few trusted providers that process data only for the purposes we instruct and are required to keep it secure:

• Resend delivers our email, such as password resets, account notices, and any product updates you have subscribed to.
• Hetzner Online GmbH provides the hosting and database infrastructure that runs the service.
• PostHog provides product analytics, hosted in the EU. We send usage events and your account identifier so we can understand how the product is used. We do not set analytics cookies.

Payments are handled separately:

• Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record for purchases. It is the seller of record and handles payment, billing, and tax as an independent company under its own privacy policy, not simply on our instructions. We do not store your full card details.

How long we keep it

We keep your personal data while your account or relationship with us is active, and afterward only as long as needed for the purposes described here or to meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

Where your data is processed

Moddelix and our providers may store and process your data in countries other than the one where you live. Wherever your data is processed, we take steps to keep it protected and handled consistently with this policy.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us, and we will respond within the time the applicable law allows.

Depending on where you live, your local privacy law may give you further rights over your data. Tell us what you need and we will apply what the law requires. We do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

How we protect your data

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal data, including encryption in transit, access controls that limit who can see it, and working only with reputable providers. No online service can be completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to address any incident promptly.

Cookies

Moddelix uses an essential session cookie to keep you signed in and to protect form submissions. This cookie is required for the service to work and is not used for advertising. We do not set marketing or third-party tracking cookies as part of the core application.

Marketing communications

If you subscribe to product updates on our website, or where you are an existing customer and local law permits, we may send you occasional emails about Moddelix and new features. We send these only where you have opted in or are otherwise entitled to receive them under the law that applies to you. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time from that link or by contacting us. Opting out of marketing does not stop essential account and transactional emails, such as password resets and important account notices.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product or our providers change. When we make a material change, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email. The current version always applies.
